Rock, Vapor, Lizard

Yet more ideas

Rock, Vapor, Lizard
There's Gold in that spiral galaxy! Just not enough to make you rich. So, after you buy the rights to a region you go in and mostly mine the asteroids for really heavy elements and the gas giants for Hydrogen & Oxygen. Since most sentient life forms are hyperinteligent lizards, if you find Lizards you're kinda screwed. Can you make it in this Lizard eat Lizard galaxy?

Empire
The code is out there. The original code. Should be simple enough for an Android phone.
Star Trek
On the TRS-80 there was a Star Trek game where you flew around the Sectors scanning for Klingons & Romulans. Shooting at them when you could then running to the station for repairs.
Text Adventures
Remember those books? You enter a room with a really mean principal. You may: 1) stay and fight - turn to page 332 2) run screaming from the room - turn to page 86. A framework for those things shouldn't be too hard.
Skinner
Played Diablo III? Push that button 23 times, get a pellet. How hard could a random maze with random monsters that need stomping be?
Shoe!
there are enough 1st person shooters out there. What we need is a truly different perspective. Say, that of a roach. Can you make it from under the sink to the fridge to slurp down those tasty bits that made it to the floor?
Chaos Wheel
From that Chaos book. A wheel has 6 cups suspended around the rim. Water trickles from a hose above the wheel. Each cup has a hole in the bottom. Will it be turning clockwise or counter clockwise the next time you look? (seriously you can't tell if you do it right).
Sand Pile
Ya got a pile of sand and a Bulldozer. Flatten the pile in the fewest passes.
Stereonet
You've got a pile of strike and dip measurements. If only you had a stereonet to plot them on. Then you'd know what kind of structure you were looking at.

It's harder than you'd think

Borrowed my best friend's Android App book. I'm about 1/3 of the way through it.

I've been thinking about projects to write once this show goes on the road.

#1 Wumpus - everyone needs to be able to hunt the Wumpus in the checkout line.

In the mix:

Acquire
grid based hotel/stock game
Trader
trading in outer space
multiplayer shooting kinda game
you can't piss off more than one nation at a time?
U-Boat
the video game with the periscope handles that wasn't a video game
Drag Racing
remember the TRS-80 game where you set the engine size and gear ratio then raced against the computer's car?
Only 20 more ideas to make it through the year right?

Any idea worth having is worth subverting

When was the last time you said I could have done that?

Well, I never thought of saying that when I heard about Jonathan Coulton's Thing a Week: I have all the musical talent of a bag of hammer handles.

But I could probably write Android Apps. How hard could it be? There are thousands of them aren't there?

JoCo reaped financial success by combining talent with a brilliant marketing idea.
Why can't I use a similar strategy to catapult myself from total obscurity to extreme obscurity?
I'm game! Extreme obscurity here I come!

Now what?
